it to the groom's hand. In this way, the father of the bride gives her away.

groom accepts her hand and promises her father that he will never fail the
bride in his shadowing of artha, dharma, and kama. However, he made the promise
three times.
Saptapadi and
Vidaai
Saptapadi
consists of seven steps in which the bride and groom vow make to each other.
After the seventh step, they become husband and wife.
Vidaai
marks the completion of the event in which the bride throws five-time handfuls
with rice, which reflects prosperity and money.
When
she sits in the car, the brothers of the bride push the car showing that they
are helping her in starting a new life.

Reception and
Blessing Ceremony
Reception
is the ceremony of introducing the bride to the groom's relatives or
